BlackRock is offering a unique opportunity for students interested in applying for our BlackRock Founders Scholarship to attend a half-day summer insight day to learn more about our culture, our Firm and how to be successful in your internship application. Through presentations and an interactive skills workshop, this event offers the chance to learn from professionals working at BlackRock about the different business areas and to find out how you can unlock your full potential. This insight day will help you to start thinking about how to benefit from your personal strengths and differentiate yourself from others and learn how you can stand out from the crowd in your job hunt.

Eligibility Criteria
You must be going into your penultimate year of University (graduating in 2020), be a UK resident and must have completed your secondary school studies in the UK. In addition to the above specification, you should also be able to identify with at least two of the following statements:
o You are, or have you been, a parent or a registered carer during your school or University studies
o You were eligible for free school meals at any point between 11 and 16 years old
o You regularly undertook paid work during the ages of 16-18, during term time
o You grew up in a household where no parent or guardian had attended university
o You came to the UK as a refugee/asylum seeker

This event will run from 12:00 – 17:30 BST and travel expenses for students living in the UK but outside of London will be covered (up to £100).
